Built two internal Java web applications over a six-month placement — the Asset Tagging System and a Task Management System — working across database design, business logic and the web layer.
Refactored between Spring Data JPA and hand-written JDBC/DAO implementations across supervisor-led review cycles, building a working understanding of both the modern abstraction and the mechanics underneath it.
Worked to the team's existing code conventions in a Git-based workflow, deploying to Apache Tomcat with manual JAR and dependency management.
